1. What is a roller?
As a core component of belt conveyors, the roller comes in diverse types and large volumes, serving to
support the conveyor belt and bear the weight of transported
materials. It accounts for 35% of a belt conveyor’s total cost
while contributing to over 70% of the conveyor’s total
resistance—making its quality critically important. Rollers are
primarily available in two materials: steel and plastic.
For track rollers, the choice of material—40Mn2, 40MnB, or 50Mn—depends on specific operating conditions. These rollers undergo precision forging followed by normalization, prior to full heat treatment. This rigorous process achieves a surface hardness of HRC 52–56, with a hardened layer depth of over 7–10mm (maintaining HRC 45 at the layer core). The result is exceptional durability: the rollers deliver strong impact resistance and superior surface wear resistance at their contact points, even under heavy loads. To adapt to
varying climates and temperatures, we integrate high-performance floating seals and a specialized lubrication system. This design enables both track rollers and carrier rollers to
operate reliably in harsh working environments or climates, with a
temperature range of -45℃ to 120℃, while ensuring the components remain maintenance-free.
